This website is about the mountains and other places I have taken night trains, hitch-hiked old Dacias, ridden horse-pulled carts or my bike, as well as walked to. It is primarily about Suhard Mountains, hidden somewhere in Northern Romania and rarely visited by strangers. About the shepherds, monks, untouched pastures and fir tree forests up there. About the autumn colours and camping under Omului Peak. But this site is also about many other places in the Romanian Carpathians or mountains elsewhere in the world. I hope you will like it. And that maybe once you take the time to see these places for yourself.

As always, anything but straight trails ahead!

Note: to allow your browser to correctly display the diacritics for Romanian names (where applicable), enable the CE character encoding (or similar, according to the browser you use), usually found in the View menu line (for FF, Opera, Safari, IE). According to your settings, the browser might do that automatically or not. This website is tested on FF and Safari only, both downloadable for free on their respective websites.
